Our Faith-Driven Doula Training program embraces a non-denominational approach, welcoming individuals of all faith backgrounds and spiritual beliefs. What is Required to Receive Certification?
To earn a Faith Driven Doula certification, students must fulfill the following requirements:
- Attend all virtual course sessions (Recorded) & complete curriculum.
- Engage actively in online group discussions, interactive workshops, practical exercises & trainings.
- Complete Certification portfolio requirements.
Insurance Reimbursement & Coverage
Our program meets the qualifications for insurance reimbursement, making professional training financially accessible:

Medicaid Reimbursement: Our program qualifies for the training pathway to acceptance for California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), which approves doulas for Medicaid reimbursement. To meet these qualifications, our doulas fulfill DHCS’s state-specific requirements, which are detailed in the Doula Services FAQ. Other states may have similar pathways, and you can find more details here.

HSA/FSA Coverage: Your clients can benefit from HSA/FSA coverage, which may cover doula expenses fully. This allows them to use their pre-tax dollars for your services. To avoid additional fees, recommend that your clients request checks directly from their HSA/FSA accounts made payable to you.

Private Insurance Reimbursement: Many insurance companies, including UHC, BCBS, Cigna, and Medicaid, may reimburse up to 25% of your doula services. To facilitate the reimbursement process:
- Ask your clients to pay for your services upfront.
- Provide them with a detailed invoice after prenatal sessions. Ensure it includes your name, address, NPI number, CPT codes, diagnosis codes, service details, and your signature.
- Guide them to fill out an HCFA-1500 claim form, which can be found on their insurance website.
- Instruct them to submit both the invoice and the claim form to their insurance provider. Clients should expect a response in about four weeks.
By meeting these requirements, your clients can confidently pursue reimbursement options, making your services more accessible.
